I figured I’d bring in the new year with an old picture. A picture of a place that I can’t get out of my head. It was a place that really defined this past year, and it’s a place that will undoubtedly be one of my favorite adventures of this upcoming year.

I have no time to photograph today so I’m posting the photograph that I’ll be looking at all day - the background of my computer. This is a photograph that I took and developed this summer. It just might be my favorite.

I had a horrible day in photography yesterday. I ruined a wonderful roll of film that had all of the incredible images for my seven deadly sins assignment. Today, I had a lot of fun retaking them and developing them successfully.
This is just a picture that I really liked (I might use it for envy). I figured I should use it for today because I spent my entire day with 35mm, and as of today, this boy has successfully put up with me for 6 months.

I unpacked. Then packed. And then unpacked again. I had 24 hours to move my life from Wayne, to Atlanta, to Athens.
I had a great summer in Wayne, but now I’m home.
Day Three Hundred and Twenty Eight.

I could do a photograph taken today, but I sat and scanned photographs this morning. This is my favorite black and white photograph that I’ve taken all summer. I have to say that learning about the dark room process has been wonderful.
Today is miserable raining weather, but I still swam a mile across the lake this morning with a 10 year old and we both made it alive! I have a feeling that this last week of camp is going to be the best.
Day Two Hundred and Eighty Three.

Yeahyeah, I had to unpack the bags of my wonderful 8-year-old campers for most of my day but I ALSO GOT TO LEARN TO DEVELOP FILM!
I really just learned the first few steps, but it was so cathartic. I took photographs on film from my adventures last night and tomorrow I get to finish developing them.
I figure I’ll spend a lot of time in the dark room this summer.
